Our Properties in Somerset

Somerset is beautiful and its little surprise that it's an increasingly popular West Country holiday destination. Picturesque rolling hills, quaint villages, and meandering rivers. There are several Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty – the Blackdowns (a stone’s throw from White Post Cottages), Exmoor National Park, the Quantock Hills, the Mendips with magnificent Cheddar Gorge, and the Somerset Levels (a must visit for bird lovers) with world famous Glastonbury Tor shrouded in myth and legend.

Beaches of all kinds populate the Somerset coastline, the golden sand at Minehead to the shingle at Blue Anchor and the rockpools at Kilve. And then there’s the towns – Wellington (3 miles from White Post Cottages) has a wealth of independent shops (we love Tim Potters butchers) and supermarkets and then there's the 'gateway to Exmoor', Wiveliscombe which has cafes, a great deli and an interior shop housed in a fabulous three-story mock-Tudor building.
